 Men's Section Team Entry - Tuesday Evenings

 2025-2026 Season - First Day of Curling Oct 14th 2025

This league is for Men's Teams looking for curling competition.  When registering please indicate the other members of your team on the registration form.

The league plays Tuesday evening with games starting at either 6:30 pm or 8:45 pm.  There is space for 24 teams.  If fully subscribed the league will play in 4 divisions A, B, C and D, each division comprising 6 teams.  To ensure the most challenging competitive environment  divisions will play 5 game series, at the end of each series, the two teams with the least number of points in each of divisions A, B and C will drop down a division and the two teams in each of groups B, C and D with the most points will rise a division.  The Men's Tuesday Evening Aggregate Winner is that team with the most points at the end of three rounds of play.

 

The point structure for team ranking is as follows: 

                        A Div      B Div      C Div       D Div

Win                  12            10            8            6

Loss                  4               4            4            4        

Tie                    8               7            6            5 

 

After the three rounds of regular season play there will be a playoff series. This playoff determines the Club Champion. All Men's Section teams enter the playoffs, twelve teams advance to the final night of the playoffs and prize money on March 25th, 2025.

  Open house for registration in person is September 9th, 2024  5:30pm to 7:30pm.  If you are looking for a Team or a Player to complete your team, use the Members>Request Spare/Player/Team option to connect with other members.  Otherwise register as an individual and indicate "assign" for the other team positions when you process your league registration. The Section executive will try, as best they can,  to find places for individual registrants.  These registrants will be assigned to complete teams short a player or will be formed into made up teams.

The Men's Section plans to organize two bonspiels this season open to Peterborough Curling Club Members and teams invited from other clubs.  Entry forms will be posted and circulated about a month in advance of the event.

Merrett Home Hardware Men's Curling Bonspiel -  Saturday February 1, 2025

The club time clock rules apply to all games both early and late draws. There are no extra rocks to be thrown to break ties.

 

Spare rule general: There must be one regular member playing for a game to count. Spares may play any position.

Spare rule playoffs: There must be two regular team members playing each game.  Spares must play front end. (to play front end means to throw either lead or second stones).

Sparing info: If you wish to spare in this or any league, please click on your profile under the Members Tab and select "Sparing Details", check the league/section(s) in which you are willing to spare and the positions you are able to play.  The is space for any additional information the you care to provide.
